Eric Silverman, Principal and Owner - Silverman Benefits Group (SBG), an independent insurance agency, specializes in helping employers of all sizes and industries improve their employee retention at zero cost to their bottom line, while achieving significant tax breaks. This is accomplished through the use of employee funded supplemental insurance benefit programs offered at the employer's work-site. SBG is licensed in nearly every state and has been locally owned, and operating successfully since the early 2000's. Recently, Eric Silverman ran a multi-office voluntary insurance agency representing Aflac with locations in and around the Baltimore area. He also worked as a national account coordinator with many notable and name-brand clients in nearly every state. His 'President's Club' office was ranked 'Best of the Best' by Aflac since 2005 and was ranked #1 in the country in every measurable category multiple times; including revenue growth, recruiting, and profitability for more than a decade. His agency has secured more than 2,500 commercial payroll accounts and has written over $50 million dollars in gross annualized voluntary insurance premium over the last 8 years alone. Prior to the insurance business, Eric had zero professional experience; working only at a gas station and bowling alley in college. He started his career as a college intern and quickly propelled into management; focusing most efforts on new business development through the procurement and development of new broker partners and the recruiting of college interns and career agents to support his broker focused initiative. His unique management style, coupled with his tenacious focus on detail, customer service, ethics, and integrity are what assured his consistent growth each quarter. Personally, Eric's originally from the DC area and is a huge Orioles fan. Eric and his wife Megan reside in Harford County and have two beautiful children, Dylan and Devin, who are their pride and joy.
